AGNIQUE® MMF (MonoMolecular Film) is an effective solution to the worldwide problem of mosquito control. AGNIQUE® MMF is a biodegradable surfactant.
MMF is not a chemical or biological toxin, but instead forms an invisible monomolecular film over the surface of standing water. This film interrupts the critical air/water interface in the mosquito’s larval and pupal development cycle causing them to drown. The film does not affect water quality (dissolved oxygen, pH or conductivity). AGNIQUE® MMF may be applied to mosquito habitats with stationary, standing water, including but not limited to:
| Fish-bearing ponds |
Potable water containers |
| Ornamental and landscape ponds |
Birdbaths |
| Rain barrels |
Stationary flower pots |
Gutters
|
Storm water basins |
Field tests have shown the AGNIQUE® MMF film to remain potent for up to 21 days. AGNIQUE® MMF is highly effective and has the unique ability to spread quickly and completely across the water’s surface. When the correct amount has been applied, there will be no breaks or gaps in the film from which mosquitoes can emerge. A significant advantage is that mosquitoes and midges cannot develop resistance to AGNIQUE® MMF because control is through a physical mode of action. MMF has been shown to have low non-target effects and is labeled for use in habitats that contain birds, fish, pets and other mammals.
The convenient trigger spray application bottle is ready to use; no dilution is required. One trigger spray application will treat up to 75 sq. feet of standing water surface area (approx. 8.5 ft x 8.5 ft)*. And because MMF is a surface treatment, water depth is not important when determining the right application rate.
